a blog about endings and beginnings
Another new term and I , for one, am sad that the holidays have ended - I find them too short. I love the noise and excitement of the kids at home with all their friends bustling in and out of the house, endless requests for money, food and new playstation games. And now it is the autumn and they've gone back with their new backpacks, lunchboxes and (one of them) new uniform to a new school. I hope that they get to play as hard they most certainly work. Half term, here we come!
But for all my sadness, I have my own excitement of new beginnings too - I'll be doing an evening class, taking up yoga and vowing to go out regularly on 'date night' with my hardworking husband who get svery neglected during the holidays! So once a fortnight I'm paying my eldest to babysit the others so we can go out: for a drink, maybe the cinema, even the dizzy heights of the theatre, perhaps. A win win: for her babysitting money and for us: time off!
So what about you? Will you be missing your children as they go off to big school for the first time perhaps? Are you having your own new beginnings? But whatever you are doing this autumn, do take time for yourself.
